Realistic AI photos reveal what typical cheaters look like – is that you?

Bald-faced liars are also more likely to be adulterers.

Are you bald with a big nose in your 40s? You’re more likely to cheat on your partner, according to an AI-generated profile of what a typical philanderer looks like.

“We shed light on the physical traits associated with those who are prone to cheating,” said Rosie Maskel, a senior marketing executive at online casino MrQ, which conducted the scandalous study, Kennedy News reported.

The typical cheater, according to the study.
What the typical male cheater looks like, according to an AI-generated description based on a study by online casino MrQ. Kennedy News and Media

The digital betting site reportedly surveyed 2,000 Britons – many of whom had been cheated on in the boudoir – to find out what attributes cheaters had in common.

They then fed the results to an AI-powered image generator to create a “photo-fit” description of the average fraudster.

The artist’s description of AI showed a man in his 40s with blue-gray eyes, sparse or no hair, and frown lines. Throw in small lips and bigger schnoz, and you’ve got the poster child for someone who sleeps next to their spouse, according to the study.

Their female counterpart, according to the illustration, was in her early fifties and had dark hair with a small nose and medium-sized nostrils.

Both the male and female scammers were described as having a thin build and “staring eyes”.

“Our research showed that just under half (41%) [of people] are familiar with this painful betrayal, so it may be that many identify with the characteristics in these images,” said Maskel.

According to the study, the typical female cheater is a dark-haired woman in her 50s. “We’ve shed light on the physical traits associated with those who are prone to cheating,” said Rosie Maskel, a senior marketing executive at online casino MrQ, which conducted the scandalous study. Kennedy News and Media

However, perhaps the profile of the male cheater was more accurate given the larger sample size.

The study found that men are far more likely to cheat than women, with 35% of men admitting to having cheated at least once compared to just 24% of women.

Women are more likely to stay with their adulterous soul mates after catching them astray. More than a fifth (22%) stayed with their unfaithful partner for at least two more years, while only one in ten (13%) of scorned boys did the same.

Meanwhile, a whopping 2% of people married their boss after discovering they were sleeping around.

As the description of the typical unfaithful man attests, the drama of adultery does not subside in middle age.

Those aged 45-54 are among the most likely to have cheated at least once. More than one in three (35%) admitted to cheating on their partners, while 54% of 45-54 year olds revealed that they had either been the victim or perpetrator of infidelity.

Coincidentally, the study found that cheating generally peaks around the fall, so lovebirds should stay alert now — especially if their other half possesses the aforementioned physical characteristics.

Of course, the odds of scoring an extramarital booty are more than skin deep, according to the marketing executive.

“Obviously, it’s important to note that these are based on statistical analysis and will not apply to all individuals,” Maskel said. “People’s behavior is determined by their decisions and actions, not by how they look.”

Professional “honey trapper” Madeline Smith recently discovered some tell-tale behaviors that could indicate a man is having sex on the side, including hiding phones, neglecting to include photos of his significant other on social media and using Snapchat.

  • The ABC station erroneously broadcast the election results by declaring Harris the winner of the key state

The ABC station erroneously broadcast the election results by declaring Harris the winner of the key state

An ABC station sparked a flurry of conspiracy theories after airing what appeared to be official election results for Pennsylvania that showed Kamala Harris easily winning the key state — more than a week before Election Day.

The shocking result was shown at the bottom of the screen during Sunday’s broadcast of the Formula 1 Mexican Grand Prix by local ABC affiliate WNEP-TV, which serves the northern Keystone State.

It showed the vice president taking 52% of the vote, compared to 47% for Republican challenger Donald Trump, with 100% of precincts reporting.

ABC aired a Pennsylvania election results headline showing Harris beating Trump, sparking conspiracy theories. X

The graphic caused a stir on social networks, fueling allegations of electoral manipulation.

One user posted on X: “The cheat is on.”

WNEP-TV said the results were displayed “in error” and that they were “randomly generated” as part of a test before the Nov. 5 election.

“These numbers should not have been shown on the screen and it was a mistake by WNEP that they did,” the station told the Daily Mail, which first reported the story.

“The first numbers on the screen are randomly generated test results sent to help news organizations make sure their equipment is working properly before election night.”

The broadcaster continued: “The numbers did not reflect any actual vote count. Pennsylvania law does not allow mail-in ballots to be removed from their envelopes until 7:00 a.m. on Election Day, and no votes of any kind will be counted in Pennsylvania until the polls close at 8 p.m. :00. WNEP regrets the error and apologizes for any confusion. We have taken steps to ensure this does not happen again.”

According to data from Real Clear Politics, Trump is up by a slim 0.7% margin in Pennsylvania, garnering 48.2% to Harris’ 47.5%.

In the 2020 election, Joe Biden won Pennsylvania by the narrowest of margins, defeating Trump by 80,555 votes, or 1.17% — and capturing the state’s 20 electoral votes to win the presidency.

WNEP-TV said the results were just a test, but critics called it out
    ABC-owned station for bias. Reuters

Trump supporters began circulating footage from the WNEP-TV broadcast and weighing in on the error.

“ABC is lying to the Democratic machine. Their license should be revoked”, wrote one user.

Another person added: “If the same charts show up after November 5th, with the same percentages and the same vote count, it will be VERY suspicious. And the media wonders why no one believes them?”

Disney-owned ABC has come under fire during the election season, following the network’s broadcast of the Sept. 10 presidential debate. Critics accused ABC News and moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis of bias in favor of Harris.

Conservative commentators claimed the moderators continued to fact-check Trump while leaving Harris alone.

There have also been profiles of the duel by the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times detailing the close friendship between Harris and Disney executive Dana Walden, who is in the running to become the company’s CEO, which has raised eyebrows.

For her part, Walden has tried to distance herself from the Mouse House news division, despite a history of political donations and fundraising efforts for Harris.

Exclusive | Dance the night away in LoveShackFancy’s almost all-black Noir Nights collection

It’s hard to believe, but the designer who promotes playful pinks and pretty lilacs wore only black in her twenties.

That’s right, pastel-loving LoveShackFancy founder and creative director Rebecca Hessel Cohen once rocked New York’s unofficial color.

“Seriously, head to toe,” she tells Alexa. “And while I was always super feminine, my uniform was a black miniskirt with a blazer and high heels.”

It wasn’t until Cohen gave birth to her first daughter that she fell head over heels for what she calls “pink, flowers and fantasy.” Her flirty dresses, skimpy skirts and girly tops with whimsical prints quickly became favorites of stars like Jennifer Lopez, Paris Hilton, Nicky Hilton Rothschild, Eiza Gonzalez, Emma Roberts and Sofia Richie. The extremely beautiful aesthetic of the lifestyle brand is also used as an adjective.

“I literally want everything,” model Leni Klum told Alexa at the LoveShackFancy fashion show in September.

However, it’s not just dusty rose that looks romantic in the land of LoveShack. Hessel Cohen has presented Noir Nights, a monochromatic assortment of LBDs and citywear in darker shades, with a selection of ivory items for contrast. Turns out, tiered jet and tulle mini dresses look just as dreamy as blush ones.

“In honor of my twenty-year-old self and our daughters, with a little edge, it felt so right to offer all these gorgeous black styles this season,” explains the designer. “Obviously, dance and dress are at the heart of who we are. In light of this, we were inspired to create a collection that you can wear and go from NY to Paris, LA and Miami, wherever our daughter finds herself.”

The pieces are paired with all black, but they are anything but basic. Hessel Cohen embellishes them with “tulles, vintage-inspired lace, shimmer, sequins, paillettes, crystals and fine jewelry.” In terms of texture, there are soft velvets, smooth faux leathers and nubby tweeds.

  • Ford CEO Jim Farley criticized for driving Chinese-made electric vehicle: ‘Slap in the face’

Ford CEO Jim Farley criticized for driving Chinese-made electric vehicle: ‘Slap in the face’

Ford’s chief executive revealed that he drives a $30,000 electric sedan made in China — and was ripped off by critics, who called it a “slap in the face” for the Detroit-based automaker’s employees.

Farley, who has been Ford’s CEO since October 2020, said he drives a Xiaomi SU7, an electric sedan that retails for $30,000 that he had specially flown in from Shanghai. Launched in December 2023, the SU7 is the first EV sold by Xiaomi, the world’s second largest smartphone vendor.

Farley told The Fully Charged Podcast that he has no plans to abandon the car.

“I don’t like to talk about the competition that much, but I run Xiaomi,” Farley told podcast host Robert Llewellyn.

“We’ve flown one from Shanghai to Chicago, and I’ve been running it for six months now and I don’t want to give it up.”

Farley wrote on his X social media account: “I try to run everything we compete against. I’ve done it my whole career.”

“Specs can tell part of a story, but you have to get behind the wheel to really understand and beat the competition.”

Jason Isaac, who heads the US Energy Institute, attacked Farley.

“Jim Farley’s recent admission that he drives an electric vehicle made in China is a slap in the face to thousands of hardworking employees at Ford Motor Company,” Isaac told National Review.

“At a time when Ford is receiving billions of dollars in subsidies from American taxpayers to support domestic EV production, it is deeply troubling that the company’s chief executive would choose a Chinese product over an American vehicle that his company makes,” it added. he.

The Post has sought comment from Ford.

The Xiaomi SU7 was launched to great fanfare in China, but the vehicle is not available for purchase in the US because the federal government has imposed a 100% tariff on electric vehicles made in China – making them prohibitively expensive for to be imported.

Xiaomi’s vehicle also does not meet regulatory safety standards required of all cars, while its charging specifications make it incompatible with the US system.

The Beijing-based company, which Farley referred to as the “Apple of China” and said to have a market capitalization of between $82 billion and $83 billion, has been unable to break into the U.S. market due to various restrictions placed on Chinese technology.

Farley gushed about Xiaomi, calling it an “industry juggernaut” and a “consumer brand that’s much stronger than the car companies.”

In 2021, the Biden administration removed Xiaomi from a government blacklist of companies feared to have ties to the Chinese military.

The Biden administration and Congress have tried to prevent American companies from investing in Chinese firms that allegedly help the country’s military gain a technological edge over American forces.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, has stated in the past that he opposes tariffs on electric vehicles made in China – although he has also said that without trade barriers, Chinese automakers would “destroy” their global rivals.

The world’s largest electric vehicle maker is BYD, the Chinese automaker that counts Warren Buffett among its investors.

Chinese car companies were “the most competitive” and “will have significant success outside of China, depending on what kind of tariffs or trade barriers,” Musk told investors in January.

Megyn Kelly says Biden’s stunning ‘garbage’ comment about Trump supporters was a sign of insanity

Megan Kelly on Wednesday slammed President Biden for referring to Donald Trump’s supporters as “garbage” — calling the remark a sign that he is “suffering from insanity.”

In an exclusive interview with The Post, the popular podcaster said the comment was another sign that the 81-year-old Biden was losing his mental acuity.

“I think Joe Biden is suffering from an insanity that has lowered his inhibitions about saying how he really feels,” the host of SiriusXM’s “The Megyn Kelly Show” told The Post.

Biden sparked outrage on Tuesday after declaring: “The only garbage I see floating out there is [Donald Trump’s] supporter.”

Kelly compared the comment to other infamous Democratic attacks on Republican voters, noting Barack Obama’s 2008 “bitter-ass” jab and Hillary Clinton’s infamous 2016 reference to Trump supporters as a “basket of deplorables “.

“It was just the latest in a long line of insults that Democrats have had for Republican voters,” said Kelly, who will cover the election during a live broadcast of her show on SiriusXM and YouTube beginning Tuesday at 20.00.

“They’ve called Trump a fascist, a Nazi, and a white supremacist, and now we’re down to trash. We’re all trash — anyone who voted for Donald Trump.”

Biden’s surrogates at CNN defended the president, saying the remark was due to his stutter and that his reference to “garbage” was aimed at comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, who joked about Puerto Rico as “a floating island of garbage.” during a rally for Trump. at Madison Square Garden on Sunday.

Kelly scoffed at that notion, saying that even mainstream news outlets like Axios and the Associated Press didn’t buy into the claim.

Biden did the Trump campaign a favor by shifting the narrative away from Hinchcliffe’s joke and focusing on his comment about Trump voters, according to the former Fox News and NBC “Today” show host.

“They were saved by Joe Biden,” Kelly said.

She added that “what’s so beautiful about the controversy is the same media and Democrats who spent 48 hours telling us how deeply wrong it is to refer to any group as garbage… now we have a very difficult pivot to done”.

  • Jennifer Hudson dishes on her new Christmas album, sparkly romance with Common: ‘There’s nothing like it’

Jennifer Hudson dishes on her new Christmas album, sparkly romance with Common: ‘There’s nothing like it’

Twenty years ago, Jennifer Hudson hit rock bottom. Like in the final three of “American Idol” – where she was shocked to be eliminated in the third season of the singing competition with supposed co-stars Fantasia Barrino and LaToya London. After her powerful pipes had carried her through covers of Aretha Franklin, Elton John and Whitney Houston, Hudson was the vocalist of choice on the night that rocked America, finishing a surprising seventh in the 2004 season, eventually beaten by Barrino .

“It seems like everything happens [for a reason]and I wouldn’t change any of them,” says Alexa Hudson, 43. “Everybody has their own path and there can only be one winner at that time. And, you know, I think Fantasia deserved to have earned – and I deserve to do everything I’ve done too.”

Indeed, that controversial elimination would prove to be “a gift” for the Chicago native, who went on to score an Oscar-winning role in 2006’s Dreamgirls and Grammy gold for her self-titled debut album in 2008. After winning a Daytime Emmy for her virtual reality venture “Baba Yaga” in 2021, she would complete EGOT status as producer of “A Strange Loop” when it won Best Musical Tone in 2022.

Not bad for an “American Idol” too-candy.

She wasn’t kidding when she famously told us, “And I’m telling you I’m not going.” As she chats with fellow stars on season three of “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” she’s also returning to her roots as a singer with a new holiday album: “The Gift of Love.” While she hasn’t gone anywhere, it’s been 10 years since Hudson’s last LP (2014’s “JHud”).

“I feel like it wasn’t [a decade] because I sing in everything I do,” says Hudson. “Through movies, commercials, various things, I never stopped singing. So I didn’t notice that I hadn’t had an official Jennifer Hudson album… But time flies, especially when you’re busy – and I’ve been a busy girl.”

As tumultuous as her career has been, Gift of Love was a labor of love. “What better way to give back than a Christmas album?” she says. “It has been a dream of mine throughout my career. I’m a holiday freak… so it makes sense.”

Hudson began recording the album after her talk show was discontinued over the summer. “I remember riding my bike, listening to Christmas music on the beach,” she says. “And I said, ‘We should probably listen to holiday music more than we do on vacation, because it gives you this peace and relaxation.’

Dress, $7,200 at Giorgio Armani; Heloise Platform Sandals, $1,025 Jimmy Choo; Diamond and sapphire earrings, similar styles at Here is Maria; Bracelets, Hudson’s own Ramona Rosales

But her “singing summer” still had its challenges as she trudged through sand instead of snow.

“I love Christmas carols and … how do you narrow it down so you know what to record?” says the singer. “But holiday music, at least for me, is sentimental. So like ‘A Christmas Carol,’ my grandmother loved this song, so it reminds me of my upbringing and the songs that my grandmother loved or that I would listen to around the house during the holidays.”

For Hudson, Christmas goes back to the church—where it all began for him—as reflected in “Go, Say on the Mountain.” “Growing up in the church, we had a candlelight march every Sunday before Christmas and did our Christmas programs,” she recalls. “My gospel roots had to be part of the album.”

Givenchy coat, $9,250 at Bloom’s Room, Neiman Marcus, 9700 Wilshire Blvd., Beverly Hills; Dress, $3,945 Dolce & Gabbana Ramona Rosales

But “Gift of Love” begins with “Hallelujah,” a stirring rendition of Leonard Cohen’s classic. “I was like, if ‘Hallelujah’ isn’t on it, then there’s no album,” Hudson says. “Some might not look at it as a holiday song, but … I just think it brings everyone together.”

Without a doubt, she’s been bringing the masses together — whether through music, movies or TV — since “American Idol.” She was ready to seize her moment when she got the chance to play Effie White in the film version of Dreamgirls. “I’m like, ‘I’m not going to let anything break my faith or stop me,’” she recalls, “because to have a second chance like that, I wasn’t going to miss that opportunity.”

After winning the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 2007, the stakes suddenly rose for Hudson, who went on to appear in other films such as 2008’s Sex and the City, 2013’s Black Nativity and 2019’s “Cats.” But she was given the “ultimate honor” when she was cast as Aretha Franklin in the 2021 Queen of Soul biopic “Respect”.

“I’m like, ‘I’m not going to let anything break my faith or stop me,’” she recalls, “because to have a second chance like that, I wasn’t going to miss that opportunity.”

“It’s like, ‘Oh my god, Aretha Franklin … it’s my dream to play her!’ she says. “And then it’s like, ‘Oh my god, wait, I have to play Aretha Franklin!’ It’s a blessing and it’s exciting, but it’s also overwhelming. You know in whose footsteps you are walking, on whose shoulders you stand.”

After that royal role, Hudson went from the movies to the sofa, launching her own talk show in 2022.

“I come from a very talkative family with many personalities,” she says. “So if we’re not singing to you, we’re talking down to you. When the opportunity came to do the talk show… I said, ‘Wait a minute. You mean to tell me I’ll be able to sit on the couch and just talk? Baby, roll the camera!’”

One of Hudson’s guests was Grammy-winning rapper Common, who made their romance official when he showed up with flowers for the host on a January 2024 episode. The two bonded over their shared Chicago roots.

Balmain dress, $10,000 at Neiman Marcus Ramona Rosales

“I think that’s how we first connected,” she says, “because we were shooting ‘Breathe,’ and one day he was leaving the set and I walked on set, and security was like, ‘You and Common are so personable and so nice to everyone. What is that?’ This is what caught our attention. We have a similar energy about ourselves that connected us. We are similar people in many ways. And I attribute that to being from Chicago. It feels familiar. It feels like home.”

Hudson – who has a 15-year-old son, David, from her previous relationship with former professional wrestler David Otunga – talks about the special bond she’s found with Common. “It’s very beautiful – it really is,” she says. “It was hit differently. There’s nothing like it, that’s for sure.”

In fact, Common recently hinted that he might be ready to put a ring on it. “If I’m going to get married, it’s for her,” he said on The Breakfast Club radio show in July.

Libertine coat, $18,500 at Neiman Marcus; Blouse, $1,050 at Max Mara; Earrings and bracelets, Hudson’s own Ramona Rosales

“He keeps saying that,” Hudson replies with a laugh. “That’s a very strong statement.”

Common is featured on “The Gift of Love,” rapping on the original track “Almost Christmas.” And his flow and finesse with words inspired a hip-hop version of “Jingle Bells.” “We were on the phone, just having a conversation, and it was around Christmas,” Hudson says. “And I was like, ‘I was the night before Christmas and all over the house …’ and he turned it around and started styling. And he never left me.”

Hudson will take her Christmas show on the road with an intimate tour starting Nov. 24 at the Kings Theater in Brooklyn before hitting Chicago, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. “It will feel very festive, very family-oriented and very personal,” she says. “I can’t wait to come home to my musical family. That’s why I’m still here.”

Dress, $3,945 Dolce & Gabbana Ramona Rosales

Wherever she goes from here, Hudson won’t forget the “Day Ones” — those who have stuck with her since her first audition for “American Idol,” singing Franklin’s “Share Your Love With Me” at one point prophetic.

“I can’t believe it’s been 20 years. This blows my mind when I look back,” she reflects. “I’m grateful for it all – to be in the industry for so long and to have the support and love that I have. I don’t take it lightly. And that’s why this album is a gift of love to everyone who has been with me.”

  • Washington Post paid to boost stories critical of Trump after staff resignations, loss of 250,000 subscribers: report

Washington Post paid to boost stories critical of Trump after staff resignations, loss of 250,000 subscribers: report

According to a report, the Washington Post — hit by a mass exodus of subscribers over its refusal to endorse Kamala Harris — “aggressively stepped up its paid advertising campaign” on social media platforms that promote stories critical of Donald Trump, according to a report. , according to a report.

Owner Jeff Bezos has faced backlash over his decision last week to kill the endorsement for the vice president, which has led to the resignation of several top employees and the loss of more than 250,000 digital subscribers.

On Thursday, the Semafor news site reported that the publication had run an ad earlier in the week on social media sites like Facebook boosting its anti-Trump coverage.

The newspaper has been in turmoil in recent days over owner Jeff Bezos’ decision not to endorse a candidate. AP

Promoted stories centered around the former president’s campaign rhetoric, misstatements, supporters leaving his rallies early and Trump’s controversial comments about immigrants in Ohio eating dogs, Semaphore reported.

In contrast, stories promoted about his Democratic challenger were neutral in tone and informative, Semafor found.

Before Monday, the paper had run about a dozen Facebook ads for the month of October, mostly promoting the Washington Post brand and avoiding any mention of Trump.

The New York Post reached out to WaPo for comment.

A source close to the situation told the New York Post that the Washington Post’s promoted stories on social media reflect high-performing content.

The content of the advertising posts is taken directly from the relevant reporting, according to the source.

“This is not new,” the source insisted.

The Washington Post’s promoted posts include a mix of its content across all its verticals, including climate, style and other sections, the source added.

The Beltway newspaper’s increase in paid advertising this week may also be a reflection of parent company Facebook Meta’s policy of banning new ads during election week, which is set for Tuesday.

The Washington Post is running social media ads promoting stories critical of former President Donald Trump. Reuters

A source said the Washington Post is likely to run some new ads before the tech giant freezes new ad buys.

As of Thursday, at least 250,000 readers — or 10% — canceled their digital subscriptions to the Washington Post in apparent protest of Bezos’ move to end the paper’s decades-long practice of endorsing a presidential candidate, according to National Public Radio.

Bezos, the billionaire founder of Amazon, published a guest essay on Monday saying the decision to drop endorsements was a matter of “principle” aimed at dispelling the notion that his paper was biased.

But the move sparked howls of protest from readers on social media, as well as journalists who are either current or former Washington Post employees, such as Watergate sleuths Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein.

At least three editorial staff resigned from the paper.

After Bezos’ decision was announced last Friday, some of the paper’s top editors and columnists met to discuss the controversy.

David Shipley, the paper’s opinion editor, listened as his colleagues attacked Bezos for damaging the publication’s reputation as an “independent journalistic organization,” according to the Washington Free Beacon, which obtained audio of the meeting.

One staffer reportedly told Shipley that “the one thing that cannot happen in this country is that Trump has four more years.”

Shipley responded by telling staff that they were welcome to express their frustration, but that they would then have to accept Bezos’ decision and move on — or resign.

“Whatever you decide, I’m fine with it,” Shipley said.

“What I really want to give is that you don’t get stuck in the middle. Don’t be here if you don’t want to.”

Shipley told his colleagues that he spent an hour on the phone with Bezos in an attempt to get him to change his mind and allow the editorial board to issue its endorsement to Harris — but the tycoon refused to budge.

The Washington Post editorial board reportedly had an endorsement of Harris drafted and ready for publication. Getty Images

He said that while he agreed with “the principle that you shouldn’t do presidential endorsements,” he took issue with “Bezos’ timing and the way the timing could be read.”

A similar dynamic has played out at the Los Angeles Times, where billionaire owner Patrick Soon-Shiong blocked the editorial board from publishing an endorsement of Harris.

Soon-Shiong said she wanted the editorial board to present a side-by-side comparative analysis of the two candidates and their positions so readers could decide for themselves who to support.

At least three LA Times employees resigned in protest, and between 10,000 and 18,000 readers canceled their subscriptions to the paper, according to reports.

For the truly brave, there’s McKamey Manor, ‘the most extreme haunted house in the country’. of The controversial haunted house outside Nashville has for years been dogged by complaints of violence and inhumane treatment against attendees, who at one point were forced to sign a 40-page waiver just to enter.

A Taurus knows you can’t have fun until you’re fed.

Prepare some pre-party food for your friends and make a mummy wheel, cold eyeball (peeled grapes), witch finger cookies, a skeleton shrimp board, and/or ghost s’mores dip.

The bull can also be induced to spend All Hallow’s afternoon enjoying a picnic in the graveyard.

While it might seem a little self-indulgent to tell the dead that you’re alive and well and eating an artisan cheese sandwich, there are some cemeteries so beautiful they practically demand a checkered tablecloth and a decanted bottle of something you can. I can’t afford it, but I absolutely must absorb it.

As a sign of expansion and exploration, Sagittarius will flourish among the dead stalks of a corn maze.

Enjoying the feeling of being lost and the challenge of finding yourself, archers will be at home with no direction and a few uncommitted hours to spend.

Sagittarius rules the ninth house of philosophy of higher education, religion and belief systems. In nature, corn mazes are a modern iteration of the ancient labyrinth, designed by ancient humans to be spiritual journeys that guided participants to a new way of being. I can dig.

    Carve a pumpkin

Capricorn is the sign of time, tradition and the bronze taxes of business. In the Major Arcana of the tarot, Cap is represented by the Devil card, all themes that weave beautifully into the practice of jack-o-lantern carving.

Vampire-faced gourds are associated with the Irish legend of Stingy Jack, a character who bartered with the Devil himself. Banished from heaven and unwanted in hell, Jack began to wander the earth for all eternity with nothing but coal to light his way.

The creature was called “Jack of the Lantern” and eventually “Jack O’Lantern”. The people of Ireland and Scotland began to make their own carved lanterns, placing them in windows and doorways to ward off Stingy Jack and any other marauding spirits or friends of the devil who might come knocking.

    Ding, dong, deliver

Aquarians can get a jump on Christmas by leaving gifts on the doorsteps of friends and strangers Getty Images

Because Aquarius often feels like they have to mask their true selves in order to be accepted, Halloween and its invitation to dress up and let loose is a bit of a homecoming for them.

The avant-garde and extremely eccentric future-focused sign rules over the eleventh house of communities, social groups and utopian ideals. To honor this energy, Aquarians can pull off an inversion of sound, dong, dance, and leave something sweet or meaty at the front door of friends and strangers.

Maybe a bar of ethically sourced chocolate or a copy of Chariot of the Gods.

Community spirit without the hassle of actual conversation? A water bearer’s dreams come true and the cup falls over.

As the most psychic of signs, Pisces are especially susceptible to the paranormal energies at play when the proverbial veil is thinnest.

As a way to ward off the bad guys, our fish friends can gather with others around the light of a fire (or pot of fondue) to tell stories. A taste of terror amidst the comfort of society, the glow of the firelight and the warming tonic of the communal hooch? Pure poetry for Pisces.

Exclusive | Duran Duran bassist John Taylor teases ‘surprises’ on epic tour, reveals his favorite things from music to art.

As part of the Grammy-winning band Duran Duran, “Bass God” John Taylor has toured the world, sold more than 100 million records and been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Fashion has been part of the band’s success since its inception in 1978. The bandmates’ coordinated outfits (designed by everyone from Antony Price to Vivienne Westwood) helped them take over MTV with iconic videos like “Rio ” and “Ordinary World”. Taylor, who splits his time between London and LA, is also married to another style icon: Juicy Couture co-founder Gela Nash-Taylor.

Now Duran Duran is back on tour in support of its sixteenth album, Danse Macabre – a thrilling seasonal mix of the band’s songs alongside covers of hits by Billie Eilish, the Rolling Stones and Talking Heads – and the legends will play Madison Square Garden in NYC on Halloween. “There’s nowhere like it,” Taylor, 64, tells Alexa of MSG. “You must enter respectfully and be on your best behavior.” Leaving room for a little debauchery, of course. “There will be surprises!” promises the pop star. While Taylor isn’t ready to let go of those great moments, he’s happily sharing with us all the things—from music and art to workout gear—that rock his world.

“As soon as I started reading this, I realized how little I knew about the life of the painter David Hockney calls ‘The Greatest of the 19th Century’. It is much less written than Van Gogh, but no less fascinating. He led the impressionist revolution, the punk painters of their time.”

“I’ve been working with this LA t-shirt company, Punk Masters, for years. We’ve recently turned up the heat and designed an entire collection of hats, merchandise, sweatshirts and hoodies. It’s a lot of fun.”

Google parent Alphabet posts 15% rise in revenue as CEO says AI investments ‘pay off’

Google parent Alphabet topped third-quarter earnings and revenue on Tuesday, helped by a 35% AI-driven increase in its cloud business, as well as a rise in its digital advertising revenue.

Alphabet shares, which closed up 1.8% on Tuesday, rose 4.4% in after-hours trading. Shares are up nearly 22% this year, in line with the broader market.

CEO Sundar Pichai said AI investments were “paying off” through usage and sales in its Search and Cloud businesses.

Perceived as slow to catch up with Big Tech rival Microsoft in the AI race, Google has improved its Gemini AI chatbot and made more improvements to its AI search offering. The company is continuing to spend heavily on AI.

Its new chief financial officer, Anat Ashkenazi, making her first call with analysts, said Alphabet’s capital spending in 2025 would be higher than this year.

In the third quarter, Alphabet’s equity rose 62% to $13 billion. The fourth quarter is expected to be similar, she said.

Revenue from Google’s cloud platform rose to $11.35 billion, beating analysts’ estimate of $10.86 billion.

It was the fastest pace of growth in eight quarters, thanks to enterprises doubling their cloud spending, which is key to powering artificial intelligence technologies.

“I think it was an impressive quarter because the fact that Google Cloud was able to more than offset the decline in Search speaks to both the growing importance of cloud revenue and the fact that the company continues to diversify its revenue base, ” said Bob O’Donnell. president of TECHnalysis Research.

Revenue rose 15% to $88.27 billion, beating analysts’ estimates. AP

Google has rolled out AI Summaries ads, which use generative AI to aggregate content from a variety of sources and display concise results for search queries.

Analysts said users find the company’s new AI tools more effective than before — a significant improvement from earlier this year when the feature drew heavy criticism for showing incorrect answers, including a pizza recipe that listed glue as an ingredient.

According to LSEG, Alphabet beat earnings expectations with earnings of $2.12 per share, compared to an average market estimate of $1.85.

Digital ad sales — the largest share of Alphabet’s total revenue — rose to $65.85 billion from $59.65 billion. That includes YouTube ad sales that rose 12% to $8.92 billion but slowed from the second quarter.

Google’s dominant position in the digital ad market has helped attract marketing dollars, even as TikTok and Amazon make inroads with marketers. Quarterly results also got a boost from increased political spending ahead of the presidential election and the 2024 Paris Olympics that ended in August.

Social media company Snap, which also depends on advertising, posted good news for shareholders, topping Wall Street’s targets for quarterly revenue and user growth, sending shares up 6% in after-hours trading. of work.

Alphabet’s total revenue rose 15% to $88.27 billion in the July-September period, while analysts on average were expecting $86.30 billion, according to LSEG data.
